French is the second most studied language after English and is spoken by more than 300 million people around the world as a first or second language.

The country, its language, its history and culture, the cuisine, the wine… so much to eat, drink, and be merry about. Why not share your favourite French things.

Ten billion baguettes are produced each year in France. By law, a traditional baguette can only have three ingredients – flour, yeast and salt – and must weigh 250 grams, just short of 9 ounces.
