Camera Day
Today is Camera Day, the origin of which is not known.
We all have cameras and many would have done so in the past as well. Today, we all carry a camera around with us at all times and it's great for a lot of things, for example, if you had an accident you could take a photo of the damage, capture something out of the ordinary or even if you are out in the countryside you can snap a pic of any wildlife you may see.
Cameras have changed over the years. I remember my Father had an old box camera which of course, took black and white photos. There have been Kodak Cameras, Polaroid cameras, disposable cameras, SLR cameras, cine cameras and security cameras. Then digital hit the world and we all wanted a digital camera. Much better to use and you didn't waste money on buying a film and getting it developed only to find the pics were no good. You get point and click cameras, night vision cameras, underwater cameras, the list is endless. You can pay anything from a tenner to thousands for a camera, and a lot of money then to buy the lens to fit them. We have cameras on our computer, our tablets and of course, our phones.
A camera is only as good as the person using it though. I'm not a great photographer, but I do use my tablets and phone to take pics and they are fine for what I want. Mind you, some animals seem to be fine with taking photographs !!
In my opinion, the best pictures are still black and white pictures, there is something about them that colour ruins.
Do you like taking photographs, if so, what do you take?
I find pets are the hardest thing, point a camera at a cute looking pet and off they go.
What sort of camera have you got or do you rely on your tablet or phone for pictures?
Show us a few of the pictures you have taken past or present and let's celebrate this day with some fun pics, gifs and music
All are welcome.
And please feel free to share all discussions you enjoy.
