Dress Up Your Pet Day

Most of them do not look very happy about our choice of clothing for them !

Ok folks today is National Dress up Your Pet Day, no wonder all our pets have gone into hiding!!

It was started in 2009 by Colleen Paige, who is a pet lifestyle expert and animal behaviourist. So, as this only comes once a year, let’s show our pets off to everybody around. While certain animals, ie dogs, may not object to having a nice jumper or a coat on, I don’t think many will appreciate being walked around the park in a tutu or dressed as Captain Hook etc.

Celebrate it by dressing your pet, whatever it may be, in some nice pet clothing, or even matching outfits. This is quite acceptable today and very much encouraged, apart from by your pet. !

I think he looks quite the country rabbit !!

Often the case but not a good plan, believe me !!

Collars were first used to adorn our dogs as far back as 3100BC in Ancient Egypt, and in 2002, Mainstream Pet Apparel, the marketing line for pets, exceeded the £30m mark. Which actually only goes to show that a fool and their money are soon parted

I do actually feel sorry for these pampered dogs who have their hair dyed, have more clothes in their wardrobe than I do and sit around all day looking lovely. They are missing one vital thing, and that is being a dog.

I don't agree with dressing any animal up, although the odd hat at Christmas on a dog, certainly not a cat or anything else, and horses do look lovely dressed in Santa clothes, but that is as far as it goes, as far as I am concerned.

Ok, so do you dress your animals up? If so, please let us have some pics.
Do you think it's right or not? Let us have your views.

Many thanks to Kieran for the help with the main picture to get what I wanted.

All are welcome. And please feel free to share all discussions you enjoy.
