Food and Baking at The Corner Café
Ok, this theme is probably close to most of your hearts: Food and baking. You either love it or hate it, either good at it or bad.
I hate baking, but then I'm not into cakes and all that sort of thing. I don't mind cooking, and despite certain peoples claims, I can cook but choose not to. Once in a while is more than enough for me!
So let's have your thoughts, and some basic recipes if you like, of either cakes you make regularly or meals you cook on a regular basis. Please keep them reasonably simple though and not too expensive to cook.
There is nothing to beat fresh hot crusty bread straight out of the oven smothered in butter. Bread can be made the old fashioned way, which can be hard work or today you can buy a machine called a bread maker that makes it so easy. I wont have one, too tempting by far !!
Freshly made cakes cooking in the oven… what a smell that is!
Now, that looks absolutely yummy!
Even nicer when brought out of the oven and left to cool.
Then there is the good old roast dinner, nothing like one made from scratch and not a ready meal. The smell of meat cooking always makes me hungry.
Welsh lamb… delicious!
Now, that looks lovely!
And don’t forget the veg to go with it, either boiled or roasted, both are lovely.
