It's Pizza Party Time

Most people love pizza!
I, personally, am not a huge lover of it. Once in a while is enough for me.

To most, sharing a hot slice of pizza with friends makes a good day even better.

Pizza goes back a long long way, maybe even thousands of years, but obviously nothing like we know pizza today. The first people to make it were the Greeks, and it was covering bread with herbs, oil and cheese. The Romans had something similar it was a dough sheet covered with honey and cheese and bay leaves.

Pizza started looking like we know it in Italy. It was made with mozzarella cheese from buffalo from Naples, and then obviously new toppings were added and the pizza started to spread worldwide. It found its way to the USA in 1905 in the form of a little pizzeria in Little Italy in New York.
The cheese for pizza's today is produced at over 2 billion pounds each year and is one of America's favourite foods.

What to put on a pizza for a party is up to the individuals. Well, some say no pineapple at any cost but anchovies (yuck) are a must. No ta.

Apparently more Women order vegan toppings than Men

Some facts about Pizza.

Western Eurpoe has the biggest market in the world, followed closely by the USA and then Latin and South America.

Americans order over 350 slices of it every second.

The most expensive cost $9,200 and can be found in Salerno

61% of people prefer thin crust. No ta, it’s got to be a thick based one for me!

Saturday night is the most popular time for a pizza

Pizza can be ordered from space, Pizza hut has in fact delivered a pizza to space,to the International Space Station, it was topped with salami and extra spices cos in space your tastebuds are dulled.

Pepperoni is the most popular topping, and the least popular are anchovies, chicken and pineapple

Whatever your choice of base, topping etc. a slice of pizza goes down well with a salad and a nice glass of wine. I personally have never had a takeaway one or been to anywhere like Pizza Hut. Taff did used to make ours and very nice they were as well.

A Pizza party can be so much fun, and as long as you have different toppings and depth of bases you should be able to accomodate everybody that is there.

It’s all mine

Let's have your thoughts on pizza and what your favourite toppings etc. are.

And come and join us at the Pizza Party later on tonight and see what Pizza's we have in store!

All are welcome.
And please feel free to share all discussions you enjoy.
