Sand Art
I am sure most of us made plenty of those on beaches or in sand pits as a kid, and very artistic we all thought them too.
Or maybe we did this sort of thing in school, with glue and coloured sand grains.
But some people take sand art to a whole new dimension!!
Lifesize or even larger than lifesize sand sculptures.
And at the other end of the spectrum, there are the miniature versions - sand art in a bottle. Skilled artists create tiny landscapes etc using a small funnel and coloured sand.
And another incredible form of sand art is that done on under-lit opaque trays, where the sand is moved around to create different pictures, and even combined to form an animation.
There are so many great examples of sand painting and sculpture, from the humble sand castle upwards, so today let’s share all manner of things sandy and artistic!
All are welcome.
