Santa Paws
Well, a week today is the big day, so are you all finished with the preparations?
If so, think again, have you bought your pets some nice treats or toys for Christmas, and of course, they need to be wrapped as well. Dogs especially have so much fun ripping the paper off things to see what's in there. Then they drive you mad for the next hour or so squeaking that annoying toy until they have managed to get the squeaker out of it.
There are so many different presents nowadays for all sort of pets, and of course don't forget the Christmas costumes and accessories available as well. The list is endless, and if you have a dog that likes a challenge there are some very good educational and training toys around that will keep your dog quiet for hours.
Also, please don't forget the thousands of animals that are in Rescue Centres through no fault of their own, and will be alone at Christmas and not have the gifts and treats your own pets have. You don't have to spend a fortune on something for a dog/cat or rabbit etc. just a cheap soft toy or packet of treats to let them know somebody cares about them. Places like Amazon do wish lists for animal charities, so as Christmas is the time for giving, give a little love to a lonely animal, whose life is not what they really want. Or just donate some food to your local rescue Centre.
Don’t take much or cost much to donate something small when you stop and think how spoilt our own pets are and what money we spend on ourselves at Christmas.
So, at this Christmas time, let’s not forget animals and remember they deserve a present same as you do.
But whatever you do please do NOT give pets as presents.
All are welcome.
And please feel free to share all discussions you enjoy.
