What's The Time, Mr. Plod?
Do you remember that song "if you want to know the time ask a Policeman" ?
Well, today we don't need to.
What this theme is all about is how you tell the time.
We are all governed by time, even if we are retired, what time we get up, eat, go to bed and we need to know the time for any appointments we may have.
So how do you do it, what sort of timepiece do you use?
There are loads to choose from today.
There are so many ways of telling the time today and we are never far from anything that tells you what time it is.
Most people wear watches, either a pocket watch or a wristwatch. Some wear Smart Watches which tell you everything from what time it is on the other side of the world to how far you have walked today. Personally to me, they are gimmicks, but fun ones.
Your computer, tablet, phone etc. tells you the time and you can set your phone alarm as a reminder of when to get up or go to that appointment as well. I mean you don't want to end up like the White Rabbit, being late for a very important date.
I do wear a watch but have to say I tend to use computer for the time when I'm in my office. I have a radio alarm that comes on in the morning, albeit I am generally awake by then, and one other clock in the house in the kitchen.
I always wanted a Grandfather Clock but never got one. I love chiming clocks.
Even animals like clocks but not that they need one when it comes to food time. I did have a cat that I had to actually buy a watch for, because he would grab any watch he could and take it to his bed. Needless to say, he was a black cat!
How do you tell the time, do you have a watch, smart or otherwise, lots of clocks in your house for some reason, and are any of them special or do you just look at your phone .
Let us know your thoughts and if you have any special timepieces, i.e. watches or clocks let us have pics of them, please.
All are welcome.
And please feel free to share all discussions you enjoy.
