World Gratitude Day
Today was brought about to bring everybody together to show their gratitude for things, given to them, done for them, or advise given, even if not taken.
A bit of gratitude means a lot and it doesn't take much to say those two simple words "thank you". But so many of us don't bother, we just take it all for granted and it’s wrong.
Being thankful is good for you. It helps lower stress levels and boosts your immune system, improves your self-esteem and lowers symptoms of depression.
So today, just make the effort to say a simple thank you to anybody that does anything for you. You will be surprised how quickly you get used to it and it will come naturally.
So how grateful are you for what you have got, or do you just take it for granted and think it’s your right to have it?
I do tend to say thank you, not always I admit, but I know from experience I do hate being taken for granted and am always very pleased when somebody says thank you for something said or done.
So let’s all try, not just today but in the future as well, to remember what we were taught as kids - please and thank you.
