Mellow Yellow
Yellow is such a bright and cheerful colour - the colour of the sun and of spring!! There is nothing more lovely than a clump of daffodils to herald in the spring.
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine

Just looking at something yellow makes you feel so much better. That’s why it’s the colour chosen to make those smileys and emojis that brighten up our texts and emails.
And we can bring that cheerfulness into our homes using flowers or furnishings. Teamed with neutral colours, such as grey and cream, yellow really makes an impact!!
Yellow walls make a room really bright and sunny. I once had a kitchen that was themed in yellow.

And a lot of animals and birds are yellow.
When teamed with black, yellow forms a clear warning that an animal is dangerous in some way (or is a harmless one mimicking one that is coloured the same way and is actually dangerous).
Humans have copied this colour combination in warning signs and hazard warning tape.
